Things to do in Monument Valley
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park is managed by the Navajo Nation, not the National Park Service, so federal passes such as America the Beautiful are not accepted here regardless of what they cover elsewhere in the region.
As of 2026, expect to pay roughly $10 per person plus $15 per vehicle to drive the 17-mile (27 km) unpaved scenic loop yourself, following a general rise in Navajo park entrance fees. 5 hours one-way, which makes this a two-day trip rather than a day return.
The Navajo Nation also observes daylight saving time while most of Arizona does not, so clocks here can differ from other Arizona stops nearby - check local time before any booked tour slot.
